Ok, sorry I haven’t actually written anything before this, but the week I have been here already has been pretty busy since I was here with a team from my church. Now, however, I am all by my oncey self. I am currently staying with a missionary family, the Vergeils, in a small town called Olsvaldo Cruz. It was about an 8 hour bus ride from Sau Paulo. But let me first give you an over view of this past week. I may have to put it up in parts at different times because my internet time is limited.
Thursday the 24 of July we(the team from Oak Ridge Baptist) left knoxville airport. We flew to D.C and spent a four hour lay over doing an airport-wide scavanger hunt. When we left for Brazil, we flew through the night and arrived on Friday the 25. Once we arrived at the airport in Sau Paulo, we were greeted by Jeff Travers. He and his family are partners with the Forans in their ministry. From there we all made our way to the Forans.
After we got home, some the guys straight way went across the street to a soccer court and played some soccer. I twisted my ankle which upset me but it didn’t hinder me much.
We had a team meeting then went to church for a youth meeting.
We had a lot of fun and met a lot of cool people.
